This year, I decided to play with my smart home devices. And of course, some intelligent personal assistant needs to be part of it. A maximum of ten smart home devices from another manufacturer can be registered with the FRITZ! App Smart Home supports the operation on exactly one FRITZ! If you want to change the FRITZ! To change the settings, you must be connected to the WLAN of your FRITZ! Plug the equipment into a socket in the vicinity of the Fritzbox. I assume you have prepared the box and registered your smart home devices properly. I recommend creating a special smarthome user in your Fritz! Box who has limited access to smart home devices only. During the setup, you are guided through all smart home devices registered with your Fritz! If you want to run actions on rooms, you should add the proper room to the device.

If the internet connection of your FRITZ! Especially, HomeControl makes it very easy to create devices and show them in Apples Home app. We are going to use that user and password for the HomeKit bridge in a minute.

After a few minutes, the FRITZ! DECT products appear in the Overview of new devices and can now be configured.
